SLB-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2026

The SLB-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2026 is a prestigious 54-hole stroke play tournament held from October 6th to 8th, 2026, at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Shah Alam, Malaysia. This WAGR ranked event is open to junior golfers aged 11 to 18 and is designed to showcase and develop young talent.

SportExcel is pleased to announce several exciting international opportunities for the winners of the SLB–SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2026.

2026 NEXTGEN AMATEUR TOUR WORLD FINAL

The winners of the Boys’ 15–18 and Girls’ 15–18 categories will each receive an exemption spot to compete in the 2026 NextGen Amateur Tour World Final in Melbourne, Australia.

Dates: 15–16 October 2026
Venue: Metropolitan Golf Club, Melbourne
Practice round: 14 October 2026
Format: Three rounds over two days
Status: World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event
Additional Opportunity: 2026 Woodlands Open

The two winners will also be offered spots in the 2026 NextGen Amateur Tour Woodlands Open, which will be held immediately before the World Final.

Practice round: 10 October 2026
Format: Three rounds over two days
Status: World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event

Woodlands Golf Club and Metropolitan Golf Club are located approximately 15 minutes apart, allowing players participating in both tournaments to remain in the same accommodation throughout their stay.

This special arrangement offers the two SportExcel champions an opportunity to compete in two international WAGR events during a single visit, gain valuable tournament experience and test their skills against talented junior and amateur golfers from other countries.

2027 ASIAN DEVELOPMENT TOUR EXEMPTION

In addition, the Boys’ Blue Tee Overall Champion will receive an exemption spot to compete in a selected 2027 Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament.

The specific ADT tournament, including its date, venue and participation details, will be announced at a later date.

This valuable exemption will give the champion an exceptional opportunity to compete alongside professional golfers, experience a higher level of competition and further advance his development in the sport.
